DIVORCE & CO.

Welcome to Divorce & Co. One of the oldest bars in town, it has recently been renovated and updated. The double doors open to a rustic bar. From Sunday to Thursday, a partition divides the setting, leaving just the main bar and booths available for customers to use. The kitchen closes at 11 pm, unless special events are on or booked.

On Friday and Saturdays, the full bar is open. The wooden partition is pulled back to reveal more seating about the open dance floor and a stage for live performances (strippers, bands, etc.). Special events will be posted in the topic upon entering the room.

The countertop is a sleek live edge wood slab. The glass shelves are fully stocked, decorated by the liquor bottles to make your favourite drink. Behind the bottles, a full-length mirror reflects more light against the crystal and glass – adding a little sparkle to the old place. Where there is no glass shelving, the bar wall is lined with barn board. A few pictures of the original building are framed behind the main bar.

The remaining walls are stripped to the brick. The door frames are accented by thick wooden beams and trim. Large windows line one wall that look out onto the street and the shutters close after 9 pm when the main dinner rush has come and gone, and just before the bar crowd slips on in.

By the front door, a cork board can be found where various information may be posted.

Please note, the setting isn't strictly the bar. The bar is more-so the hub to bring people together. If you are not in the bar, please make it clear in your post and/or status.
