A couple of ground rules...

 

1. Respect your fellow group members.  We're going to have characters from all different canons walking through the cafe. Keep your fangs and claws to yourself.  And please resist bashing the other forms of vampire/lycanthrope/voodoo priest.  Your canon is not written by God, and it isn't the be-all-end-all guide to your preternatural critter of choice.  If you're having a problem with a particular character (that is to say, harrassment), please notify a mod and let US deal with it.  Or just be mature and block them.  Blood is so hard to clean out of the carpet.

 

2. Keep the room PG13.  Yes, your vampire might be the embodiment of sexiness.  Yes, your witch might have incredible man-snaring powers.  But kindly take the porn to PM.  No reason for all of us to know about your sexytimes.

 

3. Make your OC reasonable.  Let's face it, it's no fun to play a superpowered god ... they're boring because there are no flaws, nowhere to expand.  So give your character reasonable limits and flaws.  It's fine if they're appropriate to the world they come from.  Just don't expect bows to your superpowered god.  Come down and roll in the dirt with us (im)mortals.

 

4. Yeah, that PG13 rating?  That extends to drug use as well.  Use of hard drugs and/or illegal drugs while in the cafe is not permitted (this extends to heroin, cocaine, ecstasy, speed ... if you wouldn't put it in a movie you're showing a young teen, don't do it).  Alcohol is okay in moderation, but any smoking should be done outside.  (It's none of our business what recreational drugs you use on your own time, but in character, please keep things reasonable and sane.)
