The Greek Pantheon

So long ago the gods were worshipped, feared, and idolized. Even with their chaos they were the ones who made the universe balanced and functional. Now, in the present day, they aren't as powerful as they once were. The gods, having to preserve their powers from the few that still worshipped them, now only live two centuries at a time. They've been forced to integrate into lives among mortals only going to Olympus to rest in between their mortal lives to regenerate their powers.

In the modern world, The Fates have made sure that the tapestry of time shows all of the gods finally awake all at once. Some waking earlier than others but all present in the 21st century. The world's economy has been brought to the worst its ever been, wars lasting far too long, weather phenomenon that are just too chaotic even by the standards of the Greek gods and goddesses. The Fates intend for the gods to want to take back the world, and bring it back under their command, but not all of the gods want those old ways brought back to light. In the modern world it is proving difficult to gain more followers or those that will worship and provide the power that the gods need to bring this vision to life..

. When their resting time is over, the god basically takes over the life of a mortal. Perhaps they choose coma patients to wake up and make a new life among the mortals that way. That's not how it always happens, of course. Most likely the case is that the god or goddess assumed a preferred form and made their own way in the mortal realm. Those that were cursed by the gods also remained in this new cycle, and their curses always remained. Heroes were still heroes and titans still titans, but all forced to live among mortals, as mortals, never revealing their true self unless on Olympus or among others of like origin.

Rules

Okay so...

1. This is not a place to park irrelevant characters. Please try to be a part of the group at least.

2. While this is fun, myth based group, it is required that all members and characters be 18+. What you do in PMs is your business, but in the room, eighteen and up. Please.

3. Original Characters are more than welcome as long as there is no god-modding, and it sticks to the theme of the Greek Pantheon.

4. No trolling. No harassment. No spamming. . Any offense will lead to a kick. A second offense will lead to a ban. Be respectful. Don't be a dick.

5. There are times when we may be playing around, one-lining, or ooc but let's try to keep things IC. If its OOC please use (Parentheses or what you use for your OOC chatter) or take it to PM. .

6. Smut is okay as long at the characters have some sort of plot line that leads to such. If you want public sex just to have public sex please go to one of the rooms that promote such things.

7. Keep your drama out of this room. OOC Drama will not be tolerated. We are playing with Greek gods/esses so we realize that things may get bickery between characters. But this is not a place for your OOC issues. You will get a warning and then if it proceeds you will be banned.

8. Grammar and spelling. We understand that people make mistakes, but if you can't make a readable post, then we can't help you. Punctuation, grammar and syntax, please.

9. Mods are required to justify why someone was kicked from the room. You will not be kicked simply because mods have the power to do so.

10. Please keep to the set plot. Yes your creativity is valued, but at least stick to the base setting. New ideas are always welcome and the mod team will discuss any ideas brought to the table
