Room Rules
1) Mods and Room Owners do not control RPHaven. Just the Marvel/DC Room. Contact us either in the room or in PMs if there are any issues. We can do what must be done in the rooms, and PMs from those within the room, but in other rooms, or real life, we cannot control that. Would if we could, but we can't, so /shrug.
2) This room's purpose is to give Marvel Universe and DC Universe characters a chance to interact. You are allowed to play ANY character you want. This also means heroes/villains from other comic imprints, OC heroes implanted in those comic universes, or even characters that already exist in the room - it is advised not to, due to confusion, but there is no reason why multiverse theory can't be a thing - and while anime/videogame/furry/etc characters aren't strictly verboten, do try to keep in the parameters of the room's spirit.
3) Please keep heated/controversial conversations civil. We're here to roleplay, not flame opinions. Gender politics, government politics, religious politics religion, social justicing are not topics that will get you kicked, but keep discussions civil. However, hurtful racial, sexual, religious, or any other hateful language will. Also, links posted that may lead to same. In character - IF it fits the role of the character - will be allowed, but it is up to the Mod/Room Owner's discretion when lines are crossed. Just...don't be dicks, alright?
4) Everyone is free to interact with others, but also know, no one is obligated to interact with anyone else. If you do not wish to RP or interact with someone, please let them know either OoC or in PMs. It is not against policy to ignore someone, but letting someone know can lead to less hurt feelings or outside-RP confusion. The Block button is also a feature the site contains. Really hoping we're not sounding like right pricks here, but this has been an issue in the past.
5) The room is both an IC and OoC realm for all to enjoy. If actual roleplay is occurring, we're not saying OoC banter is not allowed, but out of courtesy to those playing, please try to keep it to a minimum. There is debate if an OoC room or Discord should exist for the room. This also is dependent on Room Owners' pocketbooks.
6) Underage heroes are a thing. Especially in the sidekick/Teen Titans realm. However, keep that shite PG. Any sexual conduct of an underage nature will NOT be tolerated.
7) Sometimes, the Room Owners or Mods may need to make new rulings, depending on new situations. This will be for the betterment of the room in and of itself, and any new rules will never be a single-entity decision, as all available Room Owners and Mods will discuss any new rules additions or changes. No one person is bigger than the room...except for the Watcher. Since he is...you know...Stan Lee and all.
Locations
Bar and Lounge (Main Room)
The main area of the room, this is an unnamed bar and lounge in New York City. It comes complete with a fully-stocked bar, numerous couches and lounge chairs, and a pool/jacuzzi area connected to the other side of the bar. The Marvel and DC Universes acknowledge NYC as a location, so this was chosen as a good neutral point for heroes and villains to gather.
The House of Mystery
The House of Mystery is the residence of John Constantine. It exists both in this world and the Dreaming, the realm of the beings known as The Endless. The house is a living entity, able to change it's layout on a whim, though some rooms always exist. The den, the kitchen, his armory Vault, and his seven-story library, complete with all of the written works of the world. The library is the residence of Jonathan Crane, as he is the new caretaker of the library. He stays there with his baby crow, Aqeela.
Gotham City
Gotham City is a gritty metropolitan area from the DC Universe, home of Bruce Wayne a.k.a. Batman, along with all of his allies and his Rogues' Gallery. Gotham was also a setting for a large-scale fight between Constantine, Ghost-Spider, and Iron Man against Two-Face and Solomon Grundy. Things...went sideways a bit, but everyone escaped relatively unharmed.
